Recipe: Terriyaki Chicken
So what’s for dinner tonight? If I could count the time I hear what’s for dinner. I am going to make a t-shirt with the question written on it. Tonight it’s Teriyaki Chicken. Serve the chicken over brown and black rice.
You can find black rice at a Asian grocery store. It cooks best in a rice pot. If you’ve never used a rice pot it is in my opinion one of the best ways to cook rice. It’s never let me down once. My rice is always perfect !!
- In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the cornstarch, cold water, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, pineapple juice,garlic, ginger and ground black pepper. Let simmer, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens and bubbles.
- Preheat oven to 425
- Place chicken pieces in baking dish. Brush chicken with the sauce on both sides.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.
