This cookie has a bite. The cayenne pepper will add a bit of heat. I have not tried these but  my friend at work assured me that these cookies were delicious. I love sweet and salty desserts. I am always willing to shake my food comfort zone.

1 cup unsweetened cocoa

2 cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1 1/2 cups chopped chocolate

2 sticks of butter

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 tbs  vanilla

1 tsp cayenne

DIRECTIONS

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  • In a mixing bowl beat together the butter, sugar egg & vanilla -Dont over whip.
  • In a separate bowl sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, chili & cinnamon.
  • Pour 1/3 of the flour mixture into the butter mixture, beat until incorporated. Repeat until it is all combined.
  • Incorporate the chocolate  into the batter. Let the batter firm up in the fridge for 10 minutes or overnight.
  • Bake the cookies for 7-8 minutes
