It's hard nowadays to escape all the technologies we use on a daily basis.

However, Delilah encourages you to put down any devices or technologies to just enjoy the presence of others and relax.

Tonight when you tune into my show, I want you to do me a favor: Put down your phone. Put down your tablet. Stop texting on your phone. Stop emailing. Stop making notes. Stop fixating your tired eyes on a tiny screen and stop working your tired mind...

Be present in the room with the people around you. Connect heart to heart. Give yourself just a little time to catch up with the people you love. Instead of surfing your phone apps, consider your day, your blessings, make plans with someone, look someone in the eye and have a conversation. Instead of playing a game on a teeny tiny screen, pull out a real board game and ask a real person to play alongside you.

I love the ease of being connected thru smart phones and apps and social media. But when I'm with my family; when we sit down for dinner, when it's time to talk or when it's time to do homework, all mobile devices must be put away. And what a refreshing experience it is to hear real sentences coming out of their mouths versus reading shorthand over a phone screen! I can dish out a real thumbs up to my kids or plant a real kiss on their cheeks versus sending them an emoticon image.

If I can encourage you to do one thing tonight, possibly an experiment for the month of March, it would be to put down your devices, relax, connect and be present during the evening hours. You work hard enough during the day; give those hard-working hands and eyes a rest, will ya? Just a thought...

How do YOU relax and connect with others? Comment below!
