Sad news for the Buffalo Bills nation. His father and former NFL coach Buddy Ryan has passed away at age 82.

Buddy coached for 35 seasons and is credited with building some of the top defenses on the field.

As a defensive staff member, he helped the Jets see a Super Bowl win in 1968 and during Super Bowl XX the Chicago Bears carried him off the field next to Kitka after the "46 Defense" helped them destroy the Patriots 46-10.

Later coaching the Eagle and Cardinals, Buddy ended his career with a 55-55-1 record.

Rest in peace, Mr. Ryan.
