She said "hell" rather than "heck." That's why an Oklahoma school district is denying Kaitlin Nootbaar her diploma. The valedictorian graduated high school with a 4.0 average and has received a full college scholarship.

Kaitlin is quoted to have said in her speech ...

"When I first started school I wanted to be a nurse, then a veterinarian, and now that I was getting closer to graduation, people would ask, 'What do you want to do?' and I said, 'How the hell do I know? I’ve changed my mind so many times."

The line apparently got a few laughs.

The copy of the speech she provided the school with before graduation said "heck" but in the moment, she said "hell."  The school has told her they would like a written apology before she receives her diploma.  Kaitlin and her family are saying she will not apologize.  Her dad was quoted on a local station as saying ...

"She earned that diploma ... She completed all the state curriculum."

What do you think?  Is the school right or wrong?
