If there's one person in pop music who knows how to churn out pop hits, it's Rihanna. The "FourFiveSeconds" star seems to have a chart topper on the radio at all times — but this time, she's making us wait to hear her next collection of songs and is hoping to take a slightly direction with her new work.

"I've made a lot of songs that are just really, really big songs ... They just blow up," the singer told MTV News. "I wanted to just get back to — well, not that they weren't real music — but I just wanted to focus on things that felt real, that felt soulful, that felt forever."

Talking about the new direction she'll take with her next full-length album, she said: "I wanted songs I could perform in 15 years. I wanted an album I could perform in 15 years, not any songs that were burnt out. I find that when I get onstage now, I don't want to perform a lot of my songs because they don't feel like me. I want to perform songs that are timeless."

As much as we love RiRi's radio-ready tunes (YASSSSS to "Umbrella," "Diamonds" and "We Found Love") we can't wait to hear what this new sound is all about. Having just collaborated with found member of The Beatles Paul McCartney, who definitely knows a thing or two about making timeless music, we think she's definitely on the right track.
