The National Institute on Drug Abuse has awarded Roswell Park Cancer Institute a 4.5 million dollar grant to study how tobacco effects our bodies.

Most if not all of us have seen the new graphic health labels that are required on cigarette packs now. The question is have these new warnings been effective? Roswell Park will be recruiting more than 44,000 participants of which around 25,000 will be tobacco users, to study if these warnings have had any impact. When completed this study will help the FDA regulate the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of tobacco products across the United States.
