Katy Perry's new "Swish Swish" featuring Nicki Minaj is hardly a slam dunk with Ruby Rose.

The Orange Is the New Black actor didn't mince her words last night (May 18) upon the release of the third track from Perry's forthcoming album WitnessRose called out the pop star for claiming to have entered an era of political activism, only for Perry to subsequently release songs that Rose said have no real bearing or impact on the current news climate.

"'Purposeful poop' to 'bomb a petit' to a sloppy mess of writing over the top of Funkagenda..stop trying to make 'Wit..I mean 'fetch happen,' Rose wrote to her followers, and also noted "I just think with everything going on in the world to go from rebranding as political activist only to ditch it and go low.. is.. a bummer."

Still, Rose did see an upside to "Swish Swish."

It bears mentioning that Rose is a good friend of Perry's frenemy Taylor Swift, who was rumored to have slammed Perry with 2014 track "Bad Blood." Perry couldn't say for sure during an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this month whether her new LP plans to answer the supposed diss track.

"Everything has a reaction or a consequence so don’t forget about that, okay, honey," Perry said. "We got to keep it real, honey."
