Rutgers Coach Fired For Abusing Players — a ‘Great Moment in Sports History’? [VIDEO]

By now you've probably heard about the firing of Rutgers coach Mike Rice after videos surfaced of him being verbally and physically abusive with his players.  He has since issued an apology, and received some pretty hefty punishments (rightly so!).

I'm not making light of this at all.  He was CLEARLY out of line for his "coaching tactics".  But being the always-looking-for-a-silver-lining kind of gal....I immediately thought of the genius of one of the most classic SNL skits ever -- Great Moments in Sports History.

Unfortunately, not all of the clip was available...as NBC doesn't typically make any of their material readily available.  It's a shame, because my favorite part of the video didn't make this clip...where Belushi sarcastically yells, "Why don't ya just GIVE him the king.  Just GIVE it to him...!?"

Alas....enjoy what I WAS able to track down.
