A Buffalo Sabres fan apparently found a surprise note waiting for them on their car when they got out of work.

"You have my deepest sympathies, friend," the note that was evidently left (and signed "A Habs fan") reads, adding the author can't imagine the "unbearable pain and angst" of being a Sabres fan.

"I hope one day your perpetual sacrifice of fandom shall be repaid," the note, which was posted on Imgur reads.

Sabres fans loyalty has recently been a topic of discussion. Last month when the Sabres faced off against the Arizon Coyotes, Sabres fans cheered against their home team. The Sabres lost to the Coyotes 4-3 in overtime, but it was the fans reaction that garnered national attention.

"I've always spoken extremely high of our fans," Sabres defenseman Mike Weber said to the LA Times. "I don't even know if disappointed is the word....They scored the first one, our fans are cheering. Late penalty, they cheer...I don't even know what to say. It's extremely frustrating for us."
