We were carving pumpkins this weekend, and I decided I wanted to do something outside of my usual triangle-eyes-circle-nose-jagged-smile go-to.  I checked out a few ideas on Pinterest, and I'm just not crafty enough to do the shadowing, intricate work.  So I went to my other go-to, my dog, DJ the Wonder Dog.

I loosely followed a picture of a stencil (didn't stencil it on, because frankly, I don't have a printer, and ain't nobody got time for that!) from my cell....

If you'd like to try some other non-traditional ideas, there are some here, more here, and free carving patterns here.

I also made a little birthday gift for my next door neighbor...if carving isn't your game, how about some acrylic paint and a glue gun?  Use the pumpkin as a flower pot....ya got yourself a gift! :)
