About 3 weeks ago, I went on a mulch-mission:  I wanted to prepare myself for the upcoming gardening season as early as possible, to avoid the multiple visits I made last year. I loaded up on 20 bags.

I STINK at gardening, but I wanted to give it a valiant effort this year. (I put together a little list of plants that work well in Western New York, that APPARENTLY are hard to kill.  I'll have to test that.)

So after a visit to Hi-Way Garden Center (My new favorite place! Their prices are awesome!), I went overboard (for me).  It turning into the botanical version of a Target run.  I went for impatiens, walked out with aisle four.

So Sunday morning, I went for it. I went for it hard. I was planning on just going out and figuring out where to dig for the perennials.

Five hours later, almost all of the above were in the ground, in pots or hung. And while my back and knees are aching, it was a pretty decent sense of accomplishment!

Tune in next week for pictures of all these things DEAD.  I pretty much have the OPPOSITE of the E.T. effect on flowers.
