Many of you have asked for updates on my mom's recent breast cancer diagnosis.

I'm THRILLED to report she's doing WONDERFULLY and completed her 6 weeks of daily radiation treatments last week.

Much to her chagrin, as promised, I got my tattoo this weekend to commemorate.  (She HATES that my brother and I have tattoos!!!)

Long story short, whenever a LOT of stuff comes my way, and I'm feeling overwhelmed, my mom has always said "Just put one foot in front of the other."  Basically, when you feel like the world is on your shoulders, just break everything down into several smaller things, and it feels less insane!  You tackle one thing, then another -- one foot in front of the other.

So I went to American Skin Art in North Tonawanda, saw my buddy Bob, and voila! (I'm including some pics of the pre-ink stencils in case you've never had a tattoo before...)  BTW I HIGHLY recommend this shop!!!!

I thought this was kind of cool too...an artist turned female cartoon characters into breast cancer surviors.  They include Betty Boop, Jessica Rabbit, and Marge Simpson!
