From its beginnings, Sesame Street was designed to look like the other programs kids watched on TV. The little films that teach letters and numbers have always been thought of as the "commercials", while the day's adventures are put together like regular TV shows. A big part of "the Street's" appeal to adults are the parodies of specific TV series, like, say, Glee.

I have to admit I'm not a "Gleek"; whether you are or not, you probably know enough about the show to get the jokes:
