Former New York State Assembly Speaker, Sheldon Silver, was found guilty on all seven counts in his corruption trial.

One of New York's most powerful politicians was convicted of charges that he traded favors to illegally earn $5-million and then lied about it.

Following the trail, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara released a statement saying that "Today, Sheldon Silver, got justice, and at long last, so did the people of New York."

Silver faces 20-years behind bars when sentenced.
