We recently saw on, Yom HaShoa v'HaGvura, ( a day of remembrance for holocaust victims ) in Israel, an entire nation come to a stop. People stood, prayed, and remembered those lost during the Holocaust. We'll also mark Sir Nicolas Winton's 106th birthday soon but, that will be the least of his achievements.

Sir Nicholas Winton manipulated paperwork to sidestep government red tape that would have sent hundreds of children to certain death during the days of Nazi Germany. Here is just one of the many times he's been honored.

After watching this video from a PBS broadcast a few years back, my heart almost stopped when everyone stood up for this war hero. It’s been decades since he saved those 669 kids from Nazi death camps, but still, the story of Sir Nicholas Winton will bring tears to your eyes.
The Associated Press reported:

After saving 669 children, most of them Jewish, from likely death at Nazi concentration camps at the onset of World War II, it was announced Monday -- on Winton's 105th birthday -- that the heroic Englishman will be awarded the Order of the White Lion, the highest order in the Czech Republic.

And get this, EVERYONE in the audience in that video was one of those children he saved. They’re all grown up and are ready to give him the biggest ‘thank you’ of his life. This man is truly a hero and deserves every standing ovation he gets.
