The Niagara Falls Air Reserve Base has been looking for some good news, after the Pentagon including it in a list of bases that could expect a major loss of jobs.

The Pentagon is now talking about saving, jobs with some of the units that fly C-130 cargo planes, the 107th Airlift Wing in Niagara Falls, being one of those units.

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta sent a letter to Congress, saying the Pentagon is going to restore some of 5,100 jobs the Air Force wants to cut.

845 people work for the 107th Airlift Wing right in Niagara Falls. Word is that some of those jobs will still be eliminated, but what the Pentagon is doing could prevent the Niagara Falls Base from losing the entire unit.

Channel 4 spoke to Rep. Brian Higgins, who said he and the rest of the WNY Congressional delegation is looking for clarification on which bases will benefit from Panetta's plan.
