A Southwest Airlines flight was swept for explosives after landing in Buffalo on Monday.

The captain of the flight from Baltimore requested the sweep once all the passengers and crew members were off the plane. A bomb-sniffing dog from the NFTA K-9 Unit was used in the search, but nothing was found.

It is not exactly clear why the search was requested, but Southwest Airlines did release a statement:

“After a safe and on-time arrival this afternoon at Buffalo Niagara International Airport, the Captain in command of our flight 3092 from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport requested additional security screening of the aircraft before its outbound departure back to BWI. All 133 Customers who had flown in on the aircraft had deplaned aircraft, along with all cabin and checked baggage, prior to the screening. We do not discuss publicly details of our security protocols as we work to ensure Safety in all aspects of every flight.”
