Stabbing At The Boulevard Mall

A security guard is recovering after he was stabbing while working at Macy's inside the Boulevard Mall.Amherst police say that the incident happened around 6:00P.M. on Monday, when a woman was tackled by the security guard while trying to steal a designer hand bag. The woman then pulled a steak knife out of her pocket, stabbed the guard in the leg, and fled the scene.

Police are searching for the thief who is described as a black female, 25-28 years old, with long black hair extensions. She was last scene wearing a white sweatshirt and tan Uggs and jeans.

The security guard was taken to the hospital, and expected to be okay.
