State Funding For College Textbooks Available

When was the last time you paid over $100 for a book? If you're a college student, the answer is probably last semester.

To help offset the high cost of textbooks, New York state has allocated funds to the Open Education Resources Initiative. According to WGRZ, this is the second year in a row for the program which assists SUNY and CUNY students in the state with textbook costs.

$8 million will be utilized for the textbook program.
