There's word investigators in New York City may have solved a 1979 case involving a missing six-year-old boy. The disappearance of Etan Patz 33-years ago triggered a national movement focusing on missing children.

CNN is reporting this morning  that investigators have taken a man into custody who has implicated himself in the disappearance of six-year-old Etan Patz. New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly has released a statement saying more details will be divulged later today.

Federal agents and New York City Police resumed their search for Etan in a lower Manhattan basement in April. Etan went missing after his parents finally agreed to his pleas to be able to walk to the bus stop alone. He disappeared on May 25th, 1979 and became the face of missing children when his photo was the first ever to be put on the back of a milk carton.  Back in April of this year, CNN reported authorities said a combination of new and old information led them to a new suspect as they reopened the investigation.
