Captain Sully Sullenberger, who became famous when he successfully splash-landed a plane on the Hudson River, will be in Buffalo next Monday.Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger will be in Clarence to meet with the families from Flight 3407, and talk about his push for laws to protect flight safety.
US Senator Charles Schumer played a role in bringing "Sully" to Buffalo, because he said that “Nobody, nobody symbolizes what a good pilot can mean better that Captain Sullenberger, because his skill, and his training and his bravery saved so many lives.”
