It's official!  After much negotiating the Buffalo Sabres and their Superstar forward Jack Eichel have agreed to terms on an eight year $10 Million deal.  We can all breathe a sigh of relief now.

Eichel was entering the final year of his entry level contract, and even though it seemed unlikely that he wouldn't sign with the Sabres, it was still a deal that needed to get done. Anything is possible in sports and the longer a superstar is unsigned the higher the chances he decides to go somewhere else.

Pegula said no to that situation and forked over $10 Million per year which, although it seems crazy to the everyday Western New Yorker, is actually the going rate for a player like Jack.  Either way, it's now no longer a distraction and the Sabres can focus on starting this season on a high note.

I'm happy this is over and hopefully it translates on the ice.  A lot will happen over the next 8 years...hopefully that includes the Sabres raising the Stanley Cup!  GO SABRES!

...you hear the name Jack Eichel, and get pumped for the future!
