Police swooped in on Miley Cyrus' Los Angeles area home Wednesday night after receiving a call that someone has been shot and kidnapped.

"We responded to a call of a kidnapping in progress, one person shot, at an address on Amanda Drive," a North Hollywood Police Department spokesperson told "Good Morning America."

Authorities said the incident could be another

"Swatting" prank, where a fake call is made in order to get the police (or a SWAT team) to bust down someone's door.

A police officer told Good Morning America that they will prosecute the individual(s) responsible if found.
