Sweet Home High Put on Short Lockdown Yesterday
Amherst Police responded to a threat call at Sweet Home High School yesterday afternoon. The school immediately went into lockdown and lasted for about an hour. It prompted a large police response to the building. They say no one was in danger. Robo calls were made to parents in the district alerting them that the students were safe and with adults. Police have not confirmed whether the 911 came from a student. They are investigation to see if it was a prank or hoax.
