Ahhhh Christmas time! Always gets me nostalgic for when I looked forward to cheesy plastic toys I'd get bored of within a week. Take a trip back in time of 3 toys that I wanted or couldn't stand to get from Santa back in the day.
Quick question for ya this Boxing Day morning: was what you were given for Christmas turn out to be what you wanted for Christmas? Did your spouse/kids/pets feel the same way? Last night I spent the better part of 5 and a half hours making my holiday confections for my co-workers. Granted, much of it was due to the fact that I've never made true "candy" before, and there's quite an art to doing it, without burning the house down or scalding the skin off your hands...
You can always spot a parent around the holiday season. Their hair is a frazzled mesh of cow licks and stray strands as if it’s been pulled by a crowd of frantic people. Their eyes dart around in all directions desperately seeking something that could suddenly appear at a moment’s notice. They break down and cry during commercials that advertise “the hottest toy of the holiday season.”
I'm crying laughing. Watching people open presents that have over-the-top reaction is hilarious. If they love it and are excited its usually cute n whatnot. But, if you give a bad present, especially kids, the reaction can be hilarious. Check out these videos.
I’ve always stressed myself over Christmas shopping. I’m always way too concerned over whether the person I’m giving a gift to will actually like it. The better you know someone the easier it is to buy them a gift, or just be a careful listener. They’ll give you clues and they won’t even know it.
