For FDNY firefighter Darren Harris, a dog was not an option as a family pet. His daughter was terrified of dogs, and needed an alternative friendly companion.

My brother Joe and friend Rob are both firefighters, and I've heard from both of them that they have a lot of downtime between calls. I always wondered what they did with all that time...and now I know! LOL
