The fifth season of FOX's starmaking 'Glee' became mired by change with the death of actor Cory Monteith, as well as news that a sixth season would likely prove the last for the series. Now, FOX president Kevin Reilly reveals even more change on the horizon, as the remainder of the fifth season will shift focus to its New York setting, potentially moving the series there for the duration of its run.
While Cory Monteith's death forever altered the course of 'Glee,' fans were nonetheless to learn this past summer that FOX had intended to end the series altogether following the sixth season. At the time, it was thought that the network would at least wait until 2014 to decide for sure, but series creator Ryan Murphy confirms that 'Glee' season 6 will end the series, its finale endgame markedly different after Monteith's tragic passing.
'Glee' will bring plenty of eyes to FOX this Thursday as the musical dramedy drops its season 5 Beatles theme to pay tribute to the death of actor Cory Monteith in "The Quarterback." Last week we caught our first look at the new episode that begins a brief hiatus for the series, while FOX has released both the full track list and songs from the somber hour.
Earlier today we heard the fantastic news that FOX's 2014 '24' revival '24: Live Another Day' would return classic CTU analyst Chloe O'Brien (Mary Lynn Rajskub) to assist in Jack Bauer's latest outing, but very little is known of what the revival series' story will actually reveal in its 12-episode run. Now, new comments from FOX chairman Kevin Reilly have given us a clue what to expect from '24: Live Another Day'
Earlier today we heard from FOX chairman Kevin Reilly how 'Glee' would handle the death of actor Cory Monteith in its upcoming fifth season, but it seems the real bombshell didn't drop until after Reilly's TCA press tour presentation. We've known that 'Glee' had already been renewed for seasons 5 and 6, but will FOX definitively end the series in 2015?
FOX's 'Glee' might be absent from Comic-Con for the first time in years next week, but that doesn't mean the long-running FOX musical dramedy lacks for big news going into season 5. 'American Idol' runner-up and glam icon Adam Lambert has been announced to join the cast of 'Glee' season 5, and frankly, we're surprised it took him this long.
'American Idol' used to be the hottest show on television, but after 13 years, it's starting to show its age. The show's ratings have slipped from regularly having 30 million viewers to now somewhere around 11 million. And though the show has had some different judges over the course of its run, it's now looking to ditch all four current judges to have a fresh face for season 13.
The show is back that millions of people gather in front of the tv to watch each week through spring, American Idol. Idol is back for it's 11th season and was welcomed back by disappointing ratings this past Wednesday. The numbers were down nearly 27 percent from the opening show last year, it was the largest ratings drop for a premiere episode in the history of the Fox show.
