Lots of parents save a lock of hair from their kids first haircut. As a matter of fact, I still have a Ziplock bag that contains the first ponytail my MOM ever grew -- no, it's not MY hair, it's HERS! I brought it back to Jamestown with me after a visit to her childhood home in Binghamton years ago. And since hair is just dead material, it still looks shiny and pretty.
Before the models took to the runway at last night's (Tuesday, September 25) Mercedes-Benz of Buffalo Fashion Week Boutique Runway Show, Claire from Corto's Salon & Seasons Spa offered some hair care and styling tips to the audience -- and her salon was doing the models' hair and makeup, so you know she knows what she's talking about!

I think people have spent too much time watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Us normal folk are are always looking for a way to save money. We live within out means. How 'bout wasting $50 so someone else can put your hair in a ponytail?
Prom Season is upon us. I have several friends who have already taken their daughters out shopping for dresses, and others who have sons renting tuxes. Limos, flowers and so much more needs to be done to prepare. How about hair and makeup?
