A musical based on HBO's vampire series 'True Blood' could be heading to Broadway soon.

Now that all the dust, fire, blood and snow has settled on Game of Thrones Season 6, it’s a comfort to look back on the crazier theories that never came to pass. No, Lady Stoneheart won’t be joining the series, and Bran won’t be whispering sweet-nothings to the Mad King just yet, but above all else, we can finally let go of that dumb “Sansa is pregnant” theory. So says Sophie Turner herself!

Game of Thrones left us with quite a few upsets by Season 6 finale “The Winds of Winter,” though certain reappearances more than ever exacerbated running questions of how quickly characters traverse the map. Now, writer-producer Bryan Cogman offers a frank answer to said riddle, one which sadly never ends with Arya’s best rendition of “I’m On A Boat.”

Even diehard fans of HBO’s Scorsese-Jagger driven Vinyl knew that Season 2 would bring about some significant changes, but it looks like the record skipped after all. Despite setting a new showrunner after a formal Season 2 renewal, HBO has officially abandoned plans for Vinyl, effectively cancelling the prestigious flop.

It’s oft been said of erstwhile breakout director M. Night Shyamalan that the filmmaker had run out of ideas, but his new TNT Tales From the Crypt may never have that problem. The new series has partnered with Wattpad to crowdsource stories and horror trends, even recruiting writers directly to work on the series.

Mere days ago, Curb Your Enthusiasm star J.B. Smoove stirred the ever-swirling pot of Season 9 rumors with reports that creator Larry David was thinking about coming back, but few knew how seriously to take them. Well, prettay, pretty, prettay great news for all, as HBO officially confirms Curb Your Enthusiasm returning for Season 9!

Wonderful as it was having Larry David grace our TVs this past season of SNL, fans will always fall back on the hope for another season of Curb Your Enthusiasm down the line. The creator’s HBO invitation remains open, but according to star and comedian J.B. Smoove, David might be actively thinking about a return to his HBO comedy at long last.

We’re likely going to see HBO on a tear of new original pilots, given new management and some notable recent flops, and the first new drama orders are certainly promising. One new series ordered to pilot from Anchorman team Adam McKay and Will Ferrell sounds like Arrested Development as high drama, while another from Kathryn Bigelow will take us to Mogadishu, Minnesota.

For all the myriad revelations of Game of Thrones Season 6, book readers have taken small comfort in knowledge that the HBO series may not necessarily reflect George R.R. Martin’s unpublished books. The same can’t be said of Sunday’s big “The Door” twist, as showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss say the Hodor reveal came straight from the author himself.

Game of Thrones Season 6 comes to an end in June (so soon!), but luckily HBO NOW has plenty of viewing options to help keep you occupied during your annual mourning period. Next month brings the premiere of HBO’s new weekly series Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons, hosted by the renowned sports analyst, author and ESPN vet. Cinephiles, meanwhile, will be thrilled to see the addition of Ridley Scott’s The Martian and (maybe) David Cronenberg’s Maps to the Stars. But more importantly, the epic Problem Child trilogy is coming to HBO NOW in June, giving you a chance to engage in a fierce familial debate over the finer points of Junior’s schemes — surely a more contentious topic than the resurrection of Jon Snow.

Lord knows we’ve missed the genius of Jon Stewart’s late-night voice in these troubled times, and it’s been some time since HBO signed the former Daily Show host to a four-year development deal. We wouldn’t expect Stewart to suit up again behind a desk just yet, but HBO now believes the late-night veteran will return to active TV duty just in time for the 2016 election.
