A lake effect snow warning is in effect for several counties in Western New York, including Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and southern Erie County.

UPDATED at 5pm 7/25/11 Those heavy thunderstorms that impacted WNY earlier today have moved south and east of our area.

The National Weather Service has issued "Excessive Heat Advisories and Warnings" for our area for Thursday.

This rain that started Friday, and has caused woes in the Southern Tier is forecast to continue. The National Weather Service predicts rain, daily through the end of the work week.
