Apple's co-founder and former CEO, Steve Jobs, who's been battling a rare form of pancreatic cancer for years and had a liver transplant in 2009, has passed away at the age of 56.

Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs is taking off on a medical leave of absence for the second time in two years. Jobs took a 6-month medical leave for a liver transplant back in 2009. He is also a pancreatic cancer survivor.
