Don't expect any official confirmation from Taylor Swift or her camp on this romantic matter, since she has repeatedly claimed she doesn't discuss her love life in interviews but in her music.

Swift and her summer love Conor Kennedy have reportedly split up after a whirlwind, high-profile romance.

A close friend of the 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' singer told Us Weekly that Swift and Kennedy "quietly parted ways a while ago."

Was it the age difference, as she is 22 while he is just 18? Nope. Discord of personalities? Wrong again. Another guy or girl? Nah. How about the crushing weight of the  intense media fascination with the pairing? Negative.

"It was just a distance thing. No hard feelings. They're fine," the friend revealed.

For what it's worth, Swift and her beau had not been spotted together recently. But then again, Swift has also been on a nonstop media blitz promoting 'Red,' which leaves little time to sneak off to Hyannis Port, Mass., the site of their summer rendezvous. She's a career woman, darn it!

"It's been over a month since they've even seen each other," the friend shared."With her promotion for 'Red,' she has no time off until the end of the year."

Swift and Kennedy went public with their romance in July, sparking fevered media coverage, since she was hobnobbing with a member of America's favorite political family.

If the twosome did indeed split, expect songs about the failed relationship to populate the follow up to 'Red.' There will be no shortage of source material.

Perhaps it's time for T. Swizzle to 'Begin Again' when it comes to romance.
