The F.B.I. surrounded a home in Lackawanna on Wednesday after the a thorough investigation lead to a terror arrest on Olcott Street.

Police raided the home of 44-year-old Arafat Nagi and took him into custody. U.S. Attorney William Hochul announced the arrest and charged Nagi with attempting to provide material support and resources to ISIS.

The criminal complaint against Nagi states that he had interest in joining ISIS and had traveled to Turkey with the intention of joining the organization.

The investigation, which lead to Nagi's arrest, lasted several months as authorities searched through his text messages, tweets and purchases he made.

Arafat Nagi has been on the FBI's radar since he started traveling outside the U.S. in 2001. If convicted, he faces up to fifteen years in prison and a $250 thousand fine.
