The American Diabetes Association’s ‘Tour de Cure’ Is This Sunday June 6th, 2015 in Niagara Falls
The Tour De Cure is an event near and dear to me. I'm proud to say that I've been assisting these events for many years. Now, we are just a days away from the American Diabetes Association’s ‘Tour De Cure’ of Western New York! Let’s make a 'chain' reaction on Saturday June 6, 2015 on Old Falls Street in Niagara Falls.
Come join The American Diabetes Association in the fight against diabetes and enjoy a fun-filled day of cycling, as well as a 5K Walk/Run as we come together to #STOPDiabetes. Both experienced and novice bike riders are encouraged to join in. It's happening at Niagara Falls State Park, 1 Prospect Park in Niagara Falls and registration begins at 6:00 a.m.
For more info, please visit their website at diabetes.org/buffalotour or send an e-mail to Kelly Arthur at KArthur@diabetes.org.
The 2015 Tour de Cure will roll through many parts of Niagara Falls so you'll enjoy breathtaking views as you navigate this year’s course. Everyone is invited to participate whether you are a beginning cycler, an average runner, or an experienced cyclist.
Rest stops along the way will feature an array of nutritious snacks and dedicated volunteers. When you are finished, join them back at the starting line for a victory party complete with food, drinks, music and more. The only prerequisite for this event is a can-do attitude and a minimum fundraising goal of $150.
Remember, diabetes can lead to blindness, heart disease, stroke, kidney failure and amputations. You'll learn about the warning signs of diabetes and you'll help with education of this terrible disease by riding in Tour De Cure. See ya there!
