The Army Worm Could Hurt WNY crops
Uh Oh!! Be on the lookout for worms. NYS is warning of an army worm invasion. This could impact our local crops. New York was last infested in 2008. The moth spends winters in the South and in some years, flies up to New York laying eggs that hatch into worm-like caterpillars. They have been know to destroy crops in the past. They are easily controlled with chemicals.
