It seems there is always a "Buffalo connection". So, meet the young lady you will be seeing on HSN (Home Shopping Network) starting today, November 3, on the new Keith Urban Guitar pitch.

Meet Tori Fuson. The very talented 27 year old, who now lives in Tampa, has Western New York roots. I am proud to say I know her! Tori's mom, Sally (Sekuterski), went to West Seneca West High School with me (class of '76). To this day, her mother and I are great friends. Sally, by the way, was a Buffalo Jill, and Tori's dad Robin used to play for the Buffalo Bisons and later coached with the Oakland A's and earned a World Series ring in 1989.

Tori was born in Mercy Hospital of Buffalo. She was two months premature and weighed only three and a half pounds at birth. Doctors were very concerned about her lung development, however Tori beat the odds. Just wait until you hear her belt out a song now!

OK, so what about Tori and Keith Urban? Well, Tori, who has done some work previously for HSN, including singing on their recent birthday promos, was chosen to be the young lady who talks about how easy it is to learn the guitar the Keith Urban way.

I sat down recently over some Louie's Texas Red Hots with Tori and her mom when they were in town for a family wedding to talk about her musical career and her future aspirations. After nearly 39 years in the radio business, I know talent when I see it. I have watched enough of her YouTube videos, and though she wasn't performing at lunch, just chatting with her set off my sixth sense that Tori is on her way to even bigger and better things. Tori is not only talented, but charming and beautiful. She reminds me of a young Sheryl Crow.

So, check out the links in this post and see what I mean. HSN and Tori Fuson Music. I think you'll agree, Tori is going to make it big, and we all can proudly say, "Hey, she was born in Buffalo!"
