Writing a resume can be hard, but here are a few key tips when it comes to a resume.
1. Proofread! Nothing looks worse than a typo or misspelling on a resume. Read it through twice, and then walk away for a few minutes, and then come back and look through it again, or get a fresh set of eyes to look at it.
2. Use Figures! Don’t just highlight your achievements — express it in numerical form. “Increased revenue by 40 percent in the first three months I was employed,” for example.
3. 1-2 Pages Max! When it comes to the length of a resume, most people say it should be one to two pages at most. Make sure to include all the information necessary, but try to keep it as short as possible.
So you wrote a killer resume, and now you have an interview scheduled. This was always the most nerve-racking point for me.
