These College Students Show Us Just How Ignorant Many Are Today [VIDEO]

First, if you think I'm using the word ignorant in a derogatory manor, you're ignorant of what the word actually means. Simply, it's lacking in knowledge or awareness in general, or, being uneducated. Hey, I'm ignorant of flying planes. Speaking of lacking in knowledge, that was the case at Texas Tech recently.

I just had to ask my 20 year-old son (a college junior) a few questions like the ones asked at Texas Tech. Who did our country gain it's independence from? Who is our Vice-President? Who won the Civil War? On what show does Snooki star in? I'm proud to say that Mark answered each question correctly in seconds.

According to this report filed by PoliTech:

The sample group was a diverse one: male and female, Caucasian, Latino, Black. A variety of majors were represented, including psychology, sports management, pre-nursing, and human sciences.

I'm not sure if I should be afraid or surprised. What do you think?
