Things To Do In Buffalo While The Kids Are On Break From School – Joe’s Top Five
It's that time of year again. Schools in Western New York will be going on winter break and moms and dads will be struggling to find activities to keep the kids busy. The Buffalo area has plenty of great things for the entire family to do from indoor water parks, museums, winter activities and more. Here are my top five.
41 Riley Street
East Aurora, NY 14052
Take the kids to skate on the same rink that the Buffalo Sabres used for the Winter Classic back on January 1st, 2008. The rink was dismantled and brought to its current location in East Aurora, New York. Don't have skates? No problem, the rink has rentals available to fit just about anyone.
PUBLIC OPEN SKATE TIMES
Friday - 7 pm to 8:45 pm
Saturday - 1 pm to 2:50, 7 pm to 8:45 pm
Sunday - 1 pm to 2:50 pm
Cheektowaga, N.Y. 14225
Open Jump Session
10296 State Rd.
Glenwood, NY 14069
Colden Tubing is Western New York’s largest tubing park. Take a leisurely ride to the top of the hill and race to the valley floor some 10 stories below. Tubers must be a minimum of 42" inches tall and at least 7 years old to participate.
4701 Transit Road
Depew, NY, 14043
This 28,000 square foot facility has swimming pools, mini golf, arcade, rock climbing wall, and restaurants. Taking a whole group of kids? Call ahead and reserve one of their many party packages.
3950 Victoria Ave
Niagara Falls, ON L2E 7M8
Get out of the cold and enjoy some indoor water fun at Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The kids can play the day away in the Frog Pond, Otter Lake Activity Pool, wave pool or try out one of the many water slide attractions. And when the kids get hungry you won't have to go far, there are plenty of choices right at the resort from Pizza to a full service restaurant, coffee shop or cafe.
