Kevin Westley is a Long Island resident, radio host and an Irish dance instructor. He finds the Irish drinking t-shirts you'll see on display at Walmart offensive. Two days ago he went out and bought all of the St. Paddy’s Day shirts from a local Walmart and plans to return them today. Good luck with that Kevin.

He told IrishCentral.com that his grandfather was an Irish immigrant, and he was often discriminated against.  See the t-shirts here.

He frequently saw signs in Boston that said, “No Irish Need Apply.” He also had an uncle who died of cirrhosis of the liver, and says that it’s “nothing to make fun of.”

I have to agree that alcohol abuse is a problem in many cultures, not just the Irish. It really isn't a laughing matter.

This is the second year that Kevin has taken a stand against the somewhat offensive t-shirts that appear in many stores like Walmart over the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.

What do you think? Is it fair to mostly link being Irish to alcoholism?
