As the father of a seven year old, I'm always looking for fun, easy things for my boy to do that doesn't cost too much. I've recently discovered a quick and easy homemade recipe for washable paint that my son Dylan can enjoy making and play with anywhere. This paint is easy to make and will not ruin the house.

Mix these household items together and watch the kids have fun.

You'll need:

1/4 cup baby shampoo
2 tablespoons cornstarch
4-6 drops food coloring

My son Dylan can actually mix the food coloring to make his choice of colors, from the basic ones, to colors he can create on his own! I'll enjoy watching him learn.

Remember, the paint creations are washable and safe. They won’t stain because of the baby shampoo and the cornstarch give the paint a whipped consistency which makes it easy to use, and easy to clean up.
