There is a controversial chart working its way around the interwebs on what time your child should be going to bed at night based on age and when they wake up.

You can check out the chart here:

Basically my 7 year old who wakes up at 645 should be going to bed at 8 p.m. THIS NEVER HAPPENS!

The national sleep foundation says that an elementary school aged child 6-13 years of age should get 9-11 hours of sleep every night.

Teenagers 8-10 hours of sleep

You can check out that chart here:

Here is what you can do to get your child back on track to a great night's sleep:

1. A recent study suggests putting your child to bed 15 minutes early each night to get them to bed on time for school

2. Lavender in a cool mist humidifier is great for a calming effect

3. Taking a bath before bed

4. Drinking warm milk

5. Limiting screen time

6. Avoid blue lights (no tv, tablets, etc.. a few hours before bed)

7. Get your child active and moving but limit this two hours before bed time

8. Cool room

9. White noise

Sleep tight, Buffalo!
