The City of Buffalo prepared crews from Paramount Pictures Wednesday as they plan to shoot scenes from “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2,” but not all drivers will be happy to see film crews, according to WKBW.com.

From May 4 through May 17, Rt. 33 will be closed in both directions from downtown Buffalo to Rt. 198 beginning at 7 p.m. and lasting until 6 a.m.

Though this will inconvenience drivers, city officials say it’s well worth it. Mayor Byron Brown says Paramount has booked more than 2,200 nights at area hotels and the production will spend millions of dollars in Buffalo.

“Paramount Pictures will be hiring local crews, eating in local restaurants and spending their money in Buffalo,” he said.

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2” will be released in 2016.
