Hello, Lockport!  A historic Western New York town well-known for the Erie Canal that runs through it.  This week we look at the top three things to do around the town according to Trip Advisor, including commentary with very pleased visitors! Enjoy.

I have to be honest, I didn't find this attraction until fairly recently!

"The Lockport Cave and underground boat were fabulous! It is a wonderful way to learn about Lockport and the building of the Erie Canal. The boat ride is fun too! One of the largest trilobites in the world is there. There is a lot of walking also, so wear walking shoes & bring a jacket."

2.  Lockport Locks & Erie Canal Cruises

An obvious choice here, of course you want to tour the canal and locks.  Here's one critics "must-do" review:

"This is a must-do in Lockport! I've done it twice, and it was a lovely experience both times. Both captains were pleasant and knowledgeable with just the right amount of humor. Cruising the canal is fun and mellow, and going through the locks is totally cool. All ages will enjoy the experience. BTY, they also have a fun little gift shop where you check in and buy tickets. They offer a AAA discount."

3.  Niagara Landing Wine Cellars

What's a little trip to Niagara County without checking out the wine country?  I found this review really interesting.  Hot pepper wine? Slushies?  Let's go!

"Niagara landing was a cool spot... They have a few unique wines, including their hot pepper infused wine and the rosebud wines. The hot pepper was absolutely delicious (and left your throat burning a bit). They also make delicious wine slushies and have some tables out front to hang out."
