One of our Niagara County neighbors is throwing a party and everyone is invited.

In honor of its 200th birthday, the Town of Niagara will host a two-day event next weekend in Veterans Memorial Park that will include shows, concerts, food, entertainment, fireworks and a military flyover...the schedule of events promises an entertaining weekend.

“The Bicentennial Committee has put in three years of hard work, and it’s all coming together June 30 and July 1,” Town Supervisor Steven C. Richards told The Buffalo News.

The event will kick off Saturday with a parade at 11 a.m. The weekend also boasts free concerts, a chicken barbecue and a tour of historic homes.
