Traffic Alert: The Kensington Expressway (AKA The 33) Will Close On Wednesday Night [VIDEO]

If you travel the Kensington Expressway late at night or early in the morning, be prepared for some closures and lane restrictions on Wednesday night into Thursday.

The New York State Department of Transportation is reporting that part of the 33 will be closed starting at 10:00P.M. on Wednesday til 6:00A.M. on Thursday for sign replacement work.

The closure will affect the eastbound lanes from Union Road to Genesee Street, and westbound from Genesee to Cayuga Drive in Cheektowaga.

Detour signs will be posted, and fines will be doubled for speeding in work zones.
