Truth or Trash: Friday the 13th Questions

On the Mix Morning Rush we love to play our game "Truth or Trash" in which we pair up two listeners and see which one can get the most questions correct while going back and forth!

Because today is Friday the 13th we made all the questions related to it! Here are some of the questions we used in today's game, plus the ones we didn't get to!

TRUTH OR TRASH  : FRIDAY THE 13TH EDITION

1.) TAYLOR SWIFT TURNED 13 ON FRIDAY THE 13TH? TRUTH

Taylor believes its her lucky number, her first album went gold in 13 weeks, and her first #1 song had a 13 second intro.

2.)  Stevie Wonder released his hit song Superstition on a Friday the 13th. TRASH

It was not released on a Friday the 13th, however he does sing the lyrics "Thirteen-month-old baby, broke the lookin' glass. Seven years of bad luck, good things in your past. When you believe in things that you don't understand, then you suffer. Superstition ain't the way."

3.)  On Friday the 13th of April 2029 a large asteroid will fly close enough to earth to be visible without a telescope! TRUTH

You will be able to see it in Africa, Europe, and Asia according to NASA.

4.)  Only on Friday the 13th does The Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel offer special zombie, vampire and Rocky Horror themed ceremonies.  TRASH

The ceremonies were first offered only on Friday the 13th but now its available all year long.

5.)  In some Spanish speaking countries Tuesday the 13 is considered bad luck. TRUTH

Tuesday is feared because it is the day of the week associated with the Roman God of War, Mars. Their cautionary saying is "On Tuesdays don't get married , don't take a trip and don't leave your home"

6.) The word "Triskadekaphobia" is the fear of Friday the 13th. TRASH

"Triskadekaphobia" is actually the fear of the number 13 and not its association with Friday. But there is an actaul word for the fear of Friday the 13th, "Paraskavedekatriaphobia"

7.) Friday the 13th the film is becoming a TV series. TRUTH

Paramount Pictures is producing the show for CW Network for a release this year. They are also working on a Friday the 13th Video game where you play as the villain.

8.) Black Sabbath released their second studio album on Friday the 13th 1970. TRASH

Black Sabbath did release a album on that date, however it wasn't their second. It was their debut album.

9.) In Ontario every Friday the 13th is the day for major  motorcyclist rallies. TRUTH

The rallies draw thousands of participants and the tradition dates back to 1981.

10.)  Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were born on Friday the 13th?  TRUTH

They share a that birthday with others born on Friday the 13th such as Julia Louis Dreyfus and Steve Buscemi
