There comes many times where people find themselves overwhelmed or anxious about things around them or events happening in their life.

However, it's during those times when people should take a step back and evaluate the situation to make it more simple before moving forward.

About this time last year two of my daughters were preparing to graduate from high school and just days before the ceremony, we hadn't even sent out graduation announcements to friends and family. Worse than that, we hadn't even ordered them to be printed up. And that's just one small example of how things don't always go as planned in my house. A lot of my listeners will ask, "Delilah, how do you do it all?" And my answer is easy: I don't. Sometimes I don't get it all done. And you know what, that's okay...

The announcements eventually got ordered and mailed out, and it made no difference to our loved ones who got them a little late. It was never worth fussing over or stressing about, so I didn't. And it worked out anyway. But sometimes in life, we make mountains out of mole hills and turn small things into big obligations or big worries when it doesn't have to be that complicated.

Keep it simple. Do what you can do today and call it good. Don't let little things get so big they cause anxious thoughts and make everyone around you anxious. Bring your written list or your mental list back down to a manageable place. Don't worry about things that don't have to get done today. Otherwise you risk becoming Momzilla and letting your to-do list rule your schedule and rob you of your joy. And when Mama ain't happy...well, you know the rest.

If you are going to work on keeping it simple and have a stress-less summer, let's have a chat about it. Call me at 1-888-633-5452 because I'm sure I can find just the right song for your situation...
