Even the smallest turkeys -- if frozen -- need to be pulled out of the freezer and put in the fridge TODAY in order to thaw in time for Thanksgiving. According to foodsafety.gov frozen turkeys between 4-12 lbs. should be put in the refrigerator today to thaw in time for cooking on Thursday.

If you're panicking because your turkey is bigger and it's still frozen solid, don't worry. While defrosting in the fridge is the recommended way from foodsafety.gov, you can defrost in water, or in the microwave faster than the refrigerator method. Check out these water and microwave defrosting tips here.

Also, did you know you can COOK a frozen turkey? Just be aware that cooking a frozen turkey will take AT LEAST 50% more time than cooking a thawed one. Happy Thanksgiving!
